About Me

I love seeing everything and feeling it soak into me - am open to new experiences. Though I'm a feminine girl, I am not prissy. I like the ocean, the city, cities by the ocean, adventures, sightseeing, late night conversation, food, drinking, experiencing.

I love Russian literature and Quentin Tarantino films and I could talk ages about Tudor era England, memes, or Lou Reed. I'm loud, like bullhorn level loud, but really I just have great projection.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to travel, I want to see things. I'm looking to experience places I've never been and hang out with unique colorful people who are full of experience and character!

Music, Movies, and Books

God where to begin! I love music and film - I could go for ages. I listen to everything but some of my all time favorite artists: the holy trinity of Lou Reed, Bowie and Iggy Pop. Sonic Youth. The Misfits. Hole. Type O Negative, "goth" music like the Cure and Bauhaus. Tim Buckley. Jeff Buckley. Any punk rock band from 70s NYC or 80s LA / think Television for NYC and Fear for LA / noise group, 70s soul outfit, old 60s country crooner or French singers in the vein of Serge Gainsbourg. 90s Deftones and Corrosion of Conformity. Biggie Smalls. No Doubt. Kate Bush. PJ Harvey. Manic Street Preachers, and even the Beatles and the Beach Boys.

I love French films, and I like Lars Von Trier and several films from Australia - Muriel's Wedding, and Priscilla, Queen of the Desert come to mind - but stateside I also like the work of Scorsese, DePalma, Tarantino, Kubrick, David Lynch, Gregg Araki, Gus Van Sant, Roman Polanski, etc. Two of my favorite films by directors who aren't huge names - Donnie Darko (2001) and for a foreign choice, Daisies (1966). More Recent films I enjoyed: Ingrid Goes West, DOPE, Love Witch, Tangerine, The Florida Project (I Love Sean Baker movies!)

I read a ton - mostly memoirs from interesting persons or just great fiction. I'll read Hunter S. Thompson and Kerouac, Kurt Vonnegut, Joan Didion, Jay McInerney, Bret Easton Ellis, sci-fi like Isaac Asimov and Franz Kafka, and I love love looooove Albert Camus, but I LOVE ME SOME RUSSIAN LITERATURE !!!!!! nobody knows pain and humanity like a Russian.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Always stayed myself even when I felt (and still feel!) that the whole world wants to change me. Always got back up after being knocked down. I’m a soul survivor, like Jeezy once said. And pursuing a life of travel and knowledge and creativity even when people don’t understand it!

Teach, Learn, Share

I’m bilingual and a good cook (I think.) I also do a great Tony Montana impression.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I THINK I'm a likable person … :) I'm a super hard worker though if you're into do-good work or anything. I clean up after myself and I'm pretty flexible. You'll never be bored around me, and I love to cook, so expect me to make dinner for the house at least ONE night! I'll also expand your film tastes via Netflix (if you have it!)

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, England, France, Germany, Mexico, Netherlands, Spain, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
