About Me

Hello! I am a junior doctor usually living and working in London. I also studied philosophy so I like talking about that! Right now I'm travelling around the world. I've spend 3 weeks trekking the Annapurna circuit in Nepal and a month in China. Just finished an awesome month in Japan and now taking a road trip on the West coast USA. Next stops are Peru, Bolivia and NYC.

I enjoy climbing, cycling, swimming, running, food, music and theatre. I'm trying to learn Spanish and German. When we get back in August I would like to learn how to play the piano.

I live and travel with my boyfriend, Ross. He works in finance but is on sabbatical for our trip. He has similar interests and is also into all forms of kayaking.

At home, I often work ridiculous shifts, so I may not always be proactive in taking you places when hosting. I want to share the space I have and make London accessible, but not always babysit. I will always be pleased to give you a safe, comfortable place to stay and lots of suggestions on what to do!

PLEASE NOTE I AM OUT OF LONDON AT THE MOMENT SO CAN'T HOST/MEET THERE.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I initially joined to find hosts for this big trip, so that I could learn more about the culture about the places I am staying from people who live there.
I thought it was only fair to do some hosting too! I'm blown away by the generosity of people on here offering up their homes.

Unfortunately I'm away and can't host right now, but I'd love to when we are settled in after we get back. My one CS hosting experience so far was really fun and interesting. I enjoy making an expensive city like London more accessible for travellers and like having guests around!

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy an eclectic mix of old school hip hop, motown and techno. I have liked reading scifi and fantasy since I was a kid, but the best book I've read recently was "The Bees" by Lalline Paul.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once reattached a severed thumb tip... Wow adding to this now, I've trekked the Annapurna circuit, walked the unrestored section of the Great Wall, cycled the Shimanami Kaido both ways and climbed Mt Fuji. Ready for more adventures!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to knit, embroider, crochet, silk paint and make other fun stuff.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would like to share knowledge about our respective cultures and home locations, I can cook, you'll probably end up asking me about some medical thing, I can teach you how to make things. Or we can just hang out and have a nice chat :D
