About Me
Im from Los Angeles born and raised. My parents are from Mexico so I grew up with latino culture. I’m a teacher at a Russian school. I love teaching , especially because it gives me time to travel 👌👌😁
I’ve moved a lot and have lived in France, Taiwan, New Orleans, Mexico. I just like lively and interesting places. I get bored of being in the same place for too long. I’m laid back and really relaxed. I’m the kind of person that doesn’t mind if plans get changed last minute. I love to meet interesting people with different world views.
I love food! Cooking, eating, everything. I can share my food and would love to learn about new dishes. I also love dancing (different styles) and I play a bit of guitar but not much, haha.
Languages is kind of my obsession. Ive learned 3.5 in my life (my chinese is the half haha) I also speak Spanish, French and of course English. I love that feeling when you use a new language for the first time and it connects you to someone. I’m addicted to that feeling. If I could have a super power it’d be to speak every language haha
I am not an artist but I am a huge admirer of art and creativity. I love music, books, paintings... I just love people that are creative. Or people that can think outside of the box. I love to meet people that challenge expectations you know?? Like I have a friend who is a doctor/scuba diver ... I love that kind of weirdness haha
Having seen SO many foreigners go to Mexico and just be bad tourists it is very important to me that I respect and learn about the local culture. I don’t care about tourist attractions I want to know: what do people watch on tv? what is the school lunch? what’s the drunk food?? that kind of thing hahah
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
honestly, I’m tired of going to hostels and hanging out with westerners and never getting to know the culture. partying is fun but that’s not why I travel. I can pay for a hotel but I want to actually experience the local culture and learn something and hopefully make some friends :)
