About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Give it up and go!

ABOUT ME

The real real latest - I'm in Seoul Teaching English. It's good fun and I'm having a good time meeting people and doing some amazing things like hiking, climbing, biking, and touring.

The real latest - I'm on my way back to the states for 4-6 weeks. I need to be in Seoul, South Korea the beginning of March for their school year. Oh yeah, that being said, I'm giving architecture a break and teaching English for a while or at least till I figure out what I'm going to do next. I will return to Spain. LOVE IT and the boys.

The latest: My last day at work is Aug. 27th. I've decided to just say #$%^&* it and go. I'm even moving out of my apartment and here in the city and when you got a good price and great location, that's a no no. I can't help it tho. I've been dreaming about going back to spain and walking pilgrimage road so that's what I'm about to do. Ok... Im two days away from accomplshing this goal.
Im going to get my teaching credential in Seville which will start on NOvember 2nd and last a month. After that I will probably either go to Granada or Salamanca to teach and get signed up at the la escuela oficial de idiomas to learn Spanish. That´s the plan, stan.

PHILOSOPHY

Live right... live strong... do good by others and they'll do good by you.

Ho hum..... I'm going on a freakin' pilgrimage to commune with God. Ok, that's not my philosophy... but I haven't been feelin' the love lately and I need to remind myself of all things beautiful and how I fit into the giant scheme of things.

Also, people might say that I'm insensitive... That's not the case. I'm just honest with no bullshit... I get to the point. Perhaps I could use a lesson in finesse or language manipulation...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Honestly... I'm bad... I've let my work and studies rule my life... ick...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had several and they have all been awesome. Fernando my little butt pirate friend in Salamanca exposed me to the underbelly of student life in his awesome town. There was also the time in Santiago where six of us ended up crashing in a scientist apartment and made some awesome food and laughter together.

Interests

I just spent a very long week up in Tahoe and got back eveything nature.... i even broke out my pastels and the paper and went to town. It had been so long since I was on my mountain bike i felt like a beginner again. I like to joke around and laugh with others. Going out to plays or musical theatre is straight up my alley. I'm a leo... where's my camera crew darn it!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music wise I was in a choir all my life up until university so that one is wide open.....
... i.e... Anthony and the Johnsons, Sibelius, Mika, Johnny Cash, Journey, The Carpenters, Pink Martini, etc...etc...

Book wise: this is so hard because i love to read. If not fiction then give me something informative that makes me think. At other times i just want to escape. Oh... and then those books that make me actually cry... I'm a softie for those dramas.... Atlas Shrugged and East of Eden are two of my favorites alongside Bio-Mimicry and Fahrenheit 451.

Movies: I have a mail in blockbuster card but I've been hooked on Smallville dvd's lately.
...i.e... Bednobs and Broomsticks, Clue, History of the World Part 1, any good horror, independent and foreign, X-Men, Directors - Darren Aronofsky and Quentin Tarantino

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Jumped from a plane a couple of times.
Climbed Mt. Fuji.
Eaten a bucket full of raw fish accompanied by a beer at 6am at the Tsukiji Fish Market.
Walked the Camino de Santiago.
Walked around the Jeju-do in just over a week.
Climbed/ Hiked the tallest mountains in Korea.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've always wanted to learn how to Yodel (sp?)
I love to cook with people and share techniques.
I love honesty, and sharing truths no matter how hard or weird.
