About Me

I live in Moscow // Москва since March 2014.

I'm a journalist, but also a writer. You can find my book Les Mains lâchées (in French) here: http://livre.fnac.com/a9630143/Anais-Llobet-Les-mains-lachees

And learn more about my work and travels here: http://whereisanais.wordpress.com

I'm an easy-going person who likes to travel a lot and meet new people. I speak fluently French and English, good Russian, intermediate Spanish and Italian. I also speak some Portuguese and Tagalog

****
I love discovering new places and meeting new people. Even better when it's discovering new places with new people! I grew up around the world, in 7 different countries. My parents (father grew up in Chad, mother between Germany & France) are now living in Oran, Algeria. My brother lives in Australia, my sister speaks fluently Japanese and studies in Paris, and I live now in Moscow.

I LOVE travelling.

In 2011-2012, I've been in Russia, Ukraine, Israel, Palestinian territories, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, India, United-States, Italy, Portugal, Germany, Georgia, Hong-Kong and Philippines...

2014-2016: New York, Italy, Oran, Philippines again, London, Copenhague, Uzbekistan, Kirghizstan, Ukraine, Miami, New Orleans, Sweden... and so many places in Russia! (Astrakhan, Kalmykia, St-Petersburg, Yaroslavl, Oufa, Kazan, Suzdal, Volgograd, Rostov, Yekaterinburg...)

Plans for the end of 2016: Bruxelles, Transylvania, La Réunion!

Philippines is my BIG love. I loved this country so much that I decided to move there, as a press correspondant in 2013.

For four months, I've been covering news in the Philippines. Amazing experience. Hard, also, when Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda destroyed Tacloban, where I stayed almost a month reporting.

In January, I've learned I've got my dream job in Moscow. So here I am. Bring on the snow!

Some quotes I really believe in, especially when travelling:

Live, travel, adventure, bless, and don't be sorry. - Jack Kerouac

- Lamartine // There is no man more complete than the one who travelled a lot, who changed the shape of his thoughts and his life twenty times.

My mantra: Quand on veut, on peut.
