About Me

Happy go lucky gal, who got to travel the world - sometimes for work, sometime for fun - and got to meet the most amazing locals.
I grew up in a South Indian coastal town, moved to the big city and been working ever since across Media, Sports, Consulting and Technology. Now work for a leading technology firm that sells into Enterprise customers.
I love dancing - always feel there is music in my head that makes my feet tap. I like doing off beat things in the cities I explore, willing to eat anything experimental (for science!) and love hearing stories of strangers, who turn friends hopefully, and taking in the beauty of this spinning blue rock that is earth :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Reason #1: While I love travelling solo, it’s absolutely fantastic to meet locals. My most memorable trips, and few long time friends, have been borne out of CS stays.
Reason #2: I like to host, one cannot live all lives, but through meeting people you get a glimpse into the lives of others - their stories and the unbelievable things humans can do! I believe in giving back to the community and my home is open, esp. for my hosts travelling to India.

Interests

I think I am an eclectic mix of interests. I am a trained classical dancer, hence the interest in dance and music.
My grandfather, who was a physics professor, sparked an interest in all things science, technology and deep space exploration.
I am pretty active as a person, and long treks and swimming in open waters are probably my two favourite things to do in nature.
I have an eye for art (I think!), and love collecting quirky and beautiful curios in my journeys.

Teach, Learn, Share

My work in enterprise sales is all about connecting with people and convincing them to invest in a good idea/product. I can (try and) teach you how to win friends and influence people :) Especially if you are in the start up ecosystem and focused on fund raising.
I can introduce you to some fantastic Indian music, especially the South Indian rap, that seems to be having a moment.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good to great conversation. A cup of coffee/vodka and meal out. My home, when you visit India.
