CURRENT MISSION
To not move back in with my parents.
ABOUT ME
One of my favorite classes in high school was European History. And while only a smattering of names, dates, and facts remain with me today, my interest in Europe persists.
Visiting an area with someone who is enthusiastic about where they live makes the experience all the more worthwhile. I'd love to learn about the places I go to from those who know them personally, and in exchange I'd be happy to talk about my experiences in the United States.
I spent a year in Paris at Univ. Paris 7 from 2008 to 2009. Before leaving (and before having declared my French major, thus being only an American Studies student) I was continually confronted with the question, "Why would you go abroad?" My response has always been, "Why not?!" Paris has been good to me so far, what with the parks, crêpe stands and history. I find the Seine to be less inspiring in real life, but then again, I've been spoiled by the ocean back home :) In any case, I hope my travels around Europe will be just as awesome.
Oh and one more fun fact: I go to an all-women's college.
Wild, ain't it?

My quest for french music has led me to:
Philippe Katerine http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lCkh-WJgjwA
Yelle http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FsrN3qxX2Yw
Sebastian Tellier http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vz58Hw9hldw
In other words, I think I'll stick to what the United States (and Canada) have to offer.
So that includes Dandy Warhols, Wilco, and Andrew Bird, Sleater-Kinney, Le Tigre, Laura Veirs, The Arcade Fire .....
I thought Being John Malkovich was quirky, loved Adaptation, but found Synecdoche New York to painful and drawn-out. I think that was done on purpose.
Algo increíble que he hecho
I ran half of the Boston Marathon my sophomore year of college, after a two year hiatus from serious training. This past summer I began to conquer my fear of projectile objects by playing frisbee and racquet ball. I am proud of both these accomplishments. Finally, on a somewhat more random note, I saw Amanda Lepore on the street in NYC once. I wouldn't call it amazing, but more of a bizarre sighting. Someday I wouldn't mind seeing her in concert.
Enseña, aprende, comparte
I learned this year that there are seasons for cheese: spring/summer is the time for soft cheeses, such as goat cheese, because it is during this time that they produce milk. Winter is the season for hard (aged) cheese. But (as with most food these days), you can eat any cheese you want at any time of the year.
My oddly spelled name is pronounced just like another Aaron/Erin you may know: Moses' brother Aaron, Erin Brokovich played by Julia Roberts, the singer Erin McKeown, your brother/sister/friend/cousin... c'est tout! My in-depth google searches have told me that it's a boy's name derived from the Hebrew/Polish Aaron, but I've seen it work for both guys and girls...
