A damn nerd looking for some culture

I’m obviously new on here, so hope this works! I’ve always been interested in expanding my view on all the cultures of the world - probably due to playing so many video games growing up!...But against my better judgment, I obtained 2 university degrees and worked myself to death 60 hours a week for a few years before realizing that this explorative and life-long learner side of me takes priority over the side that wants to build myself up in a stable job and get rich so I have the money to travel - which isn’t even guaranteed!

I truly wanna learn every language and see all the world has to offer and meet all the most amazing people with their own life experiences to share...I don’t know how realistic my goals are, but life’s too short not to experience it all, so might as well try! I try to plan things, but I’m honestly much better and going with the flow and figuring things out along the way - so I do apologize for the last minute stay requests while we’re backpacking!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m backpacking through Europe and Asia for 2 years with my roomie! I love meeting new people, learning new cultures and languages, and lodging is freakin’ expensive, so CS seems perfect~
