About Me

I am a student at Rutgers University studying Supply Chain Management. I grew up in Netcong, a small town in northern New Jersey only one-square-mile in size. The past few years I have realized I really enjoy to travel and see new places for myself. Although I do not participate often, I enjoy hiking, camping, and just enjoying nature in general. My favorite smell in the world is the smell of a campfire. There is something about camping that seems to slow down time itself. This past summer I planned a 10-day trip to Europe for myself and three friends. The three-legged journey started in London then we hoped a train to Amsterdam and took a flight to Berlin. For me, a trip ideally should be about discovering a new environment and making every effort to enjoy the little moments.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I first heard about this app through one of my good friends Nick Seck. At first I was reluctant to believe such an awesome community of people existed. A few weeks later I took a 3-day trip with my friend Nick, staying with two different Couchsurfing hosts. What a great experience it was! I came back from the trip really believing in the community and look forward to my next trip.

Music, Movies, and Books

I do not read as much as I should but my favorite books are The Catcher in the Rye and The Perks of Being a Wallflower.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In addition to being a full-time student I run a small photo business that funds my travels.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I do not claim to be more "travel adept" than the average joe within this community, but I do feel I know a great deal on how to book a cheap flight. I am also very into credit card points and can teach you how to earn a good chunk of change which you can then use towards travel - like me! This upcoming winter I am planning on renting a car for a 7-10 day trip solely financed by points. Other than that I am happy to share anything about myself that you'd like to hear. I feel that I am more of a listener but that does not mean I am shy about sharing either.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bahamas, Canada, Dominican Republic, Germany, Netherlands, Sweden, Turks and Caicos Islands, United Kingdom
