Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm thinking about spending a year or two, traveling through Europe working a science communication blog project. I'd like to meet as many locals as I can while I'm traveling, and couchsurfing looks like an excellent way to do that.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm listening to Schumann at the moment, I'm reading 'To the lighthouse' and the last film I saw was Ocean's Eleven... next week the list could well read, Kesha, The Da vinci code and Melencholia.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think that the thing I've done that I'm proudest of, is designing a series of presentations and hands on experiments to help educate primary school age students about chemistry. I worked with various primary schools throughout my PhD and took my programs to science outreach festivals. It's incredibly satisfying work.

I love to talk about music, books, science, politics and dancing. I've formally studied chemistry for a long time and still enjoy sharing what I've learned.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I think that the most important things that I can share are the stories I've accumulated over the journey. Failing that, I love to cook for people and play music.
