About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To be creative, imaginative, wacky if I need to be.

ABOUT ME

I'm just your regular kind of banjo playing drunken cheese maker. I gave up my cushy life as a zoo keeper in Baltimore to move to middle-of-nowhere Maine, so I could learn the fine skill of transforming udder juice into glorious globs of gouda.

PHILOSOPHY

I just keep on keepin' on.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I live on a farm/creamery with a bunch of goats, pigs, chickens, a cat, two dogs, and a throng of humans. I have my own cabin, and there happens to be an extra bed in my room that's available for drifters. The cabin is sort of attached to a goat barn, but they don't come into my living space.

Except for Sundays, I'm usually working in the creamery or on the farm all day, then hanging out in my cabin in the evenings, eating and drinking and smoking and playing banjo and trying to learn French. If you just need a place to crash for the night, that's cool, or you can stick around for a few days and work with me in exchange for food and fun times.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As of the time this is being written, I've only been couch surfing once. But it was fucking awesome. I stayed in Montreal for two nights and my host was mind bogglingly altruistic, dropping everything to show me around town and totally trusting me to come and go from his house as I pleased. I want to be that cool for other people now. I've met a number of folks who are experienced couch surfers, and they all tend to be pretty rad.

Interests

Partying, talking about weird shit, trying to speak French, watching movies, board games, Nintendo, cats, bonfires, jamming, bike riding, building contraptions, rubik's cubes, cooking, robots, partying.

Music, Movies, and Books

Lots of sci-fi, particularly anything to do with time travel and/or robots.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I saw a blimp!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach people how to solve rubik's cubes, play little diddies on the banjo, vomit basic French, and do any number of cheese making related activities in a creamery.
