About Me
I love learning about other cultures and that of course means that I love to travel! I'm believe in being congruent, bring authenticity into all situations, and showing up for life as the author of your life, not as a passenger - are you living yours? :)
I'm an LPC in private practice up in the DFW metroplex. I'm passionate about living healthy... mind, body, and spirit. I'm a meditation teacher as well and enjoy doing guided meditations for anyone interested.
When I'm not working, I spend my time hanging out with friends, doing yoga, running, cycling, camping, cooking, always listening to music, spending time with family down in Waco, and hanging out with my dog 'Doogan'.
Doogan is my 2-year old great dane, black lab mix. He's incredibly sweet and completely housebroken. Once he's slowly introduced to other dogs and cats, he does fine with them. Loved it when I temporarily adopted a cat I found in our stairwell, they liked hanging out together on our balcony. He's very respectful and doesn't countersurf for food =)
On hosting:
I'm totally open to hosting. I have a one-bedroom apt but you could have the living room and my couch. My bathroom has two doors going into it, so you'd have the privacy you need while you freshen up. I work random hours at my clinic, so I pop in at random times during the day to take Doogan on walks but I'm home in the evenings after 6 or 7pm and always around on the weekends.
You're free to use the kitchen as long as you clean up. And though I have a car, you'll need to find your own ways to where you're going unless we go somewhere together for dinner or out on the town.
Any questions, just ask!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because counselors don't make much bank. My goals are to travel cheap, have fun, and meet interesting, fun, chill people!
I would LOVE backpack through some Mediterranean countries later this summer/fall, potentially in August/September.
I really like the idea of creating a worldwide friend group (local as well) through Couchsurfing.
