Hi, it's been a while! I haven't surfed a couch via Couchsurfing since travelling in South America 10 years ago. I currently live in Nelson, B.C. with 4 other roommates/tenants and 5 others on our property. I am a grade 8 teacher, but before this I was a wild vagabond who travelled and worked odd jobs. I did some WOOFing, volunteering, and just wanted to explore the world. I studied Kinesiology and Geography at a university in Ontario, spent a semester abroad in Germany. Lived in Peru after that, and then went to Australia for a year. I love travelling and while I was travelling I had so much support and love from locals of all backgrounds. I really enjoy reciprocity and making meals for hosts, etc., and I like helping people out when they come to Nelson. In cities, I enjoy going to historically significant places, checking out street art, museums and exhibits of all sorts, theatre/performance art, cool neighbourhoods, and meeting interesting people. In general, I enjoy hiking and exploring the outdoors via activities like canoeing/kayaking, climbing, biking, and backcountry skiing. I really like to dance, laugh, and get to know people on a deep level.
