I grew up in Colorado and moved to Alaska to go to college. In Alaska I have started two business, run for public office (I am no longer a politician!), and left for months at a time to visit Australia and northern Virginia.

In 2012 I went backpacking in Australia for 3 months where I picked apples in Tasmania and went on an epic road trip from Darwin to Frasier Island down to Sydney. On the way to Australia, I stopped in New Zealand for a few days and managed to hike up Mt Taranaki, what a hike!
