About Me

I am a painter, writer and avid globe-trotter..I love experiencing all that this world has to offer, so I try to always keep an open mind and open heart. I enjoy art of all kinds, particularly street-art, as I feel that art should be for everyone, not just those who can afford it. Besides art and travel, I like to read and write in my free time, as well as produce music. I am super down-to-earth, and like to find ways of making connections with people, as I feel there is always a common ground. I although I tend to be a quiet person with relatively simple tastes, I do still appreciate going out and making new friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Currently traveling through Europe with my girlfriend Michele, and we thought it would be a great way to meet new people, make new friends, and learn about cool places from a local perspective. We like to explore and find hidden gems, so who better to learn from, than someone who lives locally and enjoys travel as much as we do!

Interests

I love to paint, and I am also an aspiring writer and musician, so I pretty much love art of all kinds. I also like skateboarding, and I love to go dancing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Like music of all kinds, from Hip-hop, to Heavy Metal, to Honky Tonk.
I enjoy historical documentaries (think Ken Burns), but also like silly comedies (think "The Jerk" with Steve Martin), as well as sci-fi, anime, and just about anything else that piques my interest. Hard to name favorite books, but favorite authors would include Khalil Gibran, Rumi, James Baldwin, and John Bellairs to name a few.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Made the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs.. Haha, for real though, one of my prouder moments was designing and building a interactive installation at Burning Man, in the form of a automated photo booth housed inside a giant pink frosted donut..

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach whoever is interested, I learn from whoever I can, I share with whoever asks.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I don't have much to share but my effusive good-nature, my insight and my experience, but I share whatever I can happily and without reservation.

Countries I’ve Visited

Denmark, France, Japan, Mexico, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Venezuela
