Overview
About Me
I am from the state of Utah and love the state dearly. I will often spend my time exploring ghost towns, ruins, mines, and mountains that are all in my backdoor and see some really cool things. Exploring my backyard like I have has also inspired me to travel as well. I love to hike, travel, and explore the outdoors. I also love good food and hanging around town with friends. My father owns a chocolate manufacturing company, and so although growing up it hasn't necessarily blessed me with great untold wealth, it did bless me with the opportunity to travel frequently and to see different parts of the country and the world, which to me means more than growing up with financial wealth. Traveling has given me the opportunity to learn more about the world, and see the bigger picture in life and see how life works together.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'd love to be able to travel, and explore the country and the world. I would also love to meet different people from different corners of the earth. I stayed at an Air BnB in Turin, Italy once. And I spent a week getting to know my host, whose name was Angela. She was such a nice and welcoming lady, and was very kind. She showed me all the different places to eat, taught me a little bit of language (the word Thank You I remember the most), and helped me become familiar with the city. It really was such an amazing experience, and I would love to experience something similar again and make more friends. I feel like I can use my trip to Europe as an opportunity to meet and create new friends.
Currently, the terms of my lease prevent me from hosting in my current place, but I would love to be able to host people when I can, and show them why I love my home state of Utah as well.
Interests
At home, I love to go hike the mountains, and explore ghost towns, mines, and ruins. I love to see the outdoors and what the earth has to offer. I've also been raised to love and appreciate good food, and different forms of cullinary cuisine. I listen to almost all of my music entirely through cassette tapes, and have a love for small bands and musicians. I'm usually very able to hold a decent conversation and love to get to know new people.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love listening to small bands and artists and exploring the local music scene. I listen to almost all of my music through cassette tapes that come from small artists. Small bands like Typhoid Beach, Green Gerry, Elna Rae, etc. I also come from a small city with a vibrant music scene, where bands like Imagine Dragons, Neon Trees, and The Moth and the Flame all got their start and so I get to see a lot of great local bands and also see a lot of my friends perform in bands.
I'm also huge on classic movies. Films that feature Jimmy Stewart, Cary Grant, etc. Films directed by Alfred Hitchcock. They're all great. Some of my favorite films are Rear Window, Charade, and Vertigo.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It's hard to pinpoint an amazing thing I have done, as my daily life moves in one flow, and interesting things happen almost daily. It's hard for me to pinpoint the pinnacle of what amazing would be, but I do feel that I do have some interesting stories to tell. So let's talk, and maybe I'll tell a short story or two.
Teach, Learn, Share
It's also hard for me to know for sure what my skills are that I can teach or share. I'd describe myself as being mediocre/good at most things, but I do know a lot about chocolate, and I might or might not have a chocolate bar or two on hand that my father has made. I can't promise to always have chocolate on hand, though. But in that case, I'll figure something out that I could possibly share.
I'd love to be taught little things that would enable me to be able to do more. Anything like ice/rollerskating backwards, or learning how to unicycle or handstand would be cool. I also love to learn about culture and history, and so I would love that as well.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I don't know exactly what I can offer, but I do know I can hold interesting conversations and many tell me I have a great taste in music. I enjoy thoughtful dialogue. But sometimes I might have a chocolate bar or two on hand that my father makes. I can't promise to always have chocolate on hand, though. Maybe I'll have an awesome spare cassette with some of my favorite music. I'll see what I can do to insure it is well worth your while, though.
