About Me

I am a seafarer(Merchant Mariner/Sailor) that has lived and traveled from Ukraine for the last 8 years. I am also 25% Ukrainian. I want the best out of life. As I've gotten older I have realized that the true meaning of life and happiness is establishing lasting moments of love and friendship. I've been around the world multiple times and I love to share my stories with those willing to listen. Listening to other's experiences is a fuel for me to improve my own and gain wisdom. I am very easy to get along with and I am addicted to intelligent conversations)) I love to write, play guitar, share music, teach English, and express my views on life!

If you’d like to hang out with me, I am kind and we’ll-mannered. Unless you want to try to fight me, we’ll, than that’s a different story. So handle your drinking in my city because it’s моє місто!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting new people and establishing life-long friendships! As this world gets more and more sophisticated it is nice to meet those who travel around it all. Different outlooks on life are so beneficial to those searching for answers and in my experience there is no better way then to meet other people from different cultures and backgrounds.

Interests

Always something new. I want to learn about others outlooks on life. Share common interests and build positivity in myself. Everything I do has a reason and a purpose. To become a better man and experience all life has to offer.

Music, Movies, and Books

My love of music is deep. Everything from Beethoven to Mos Def. I never was a big country fan but if I'm in the environment I dig it. I’ve lived that life for a few years. It always depends on my mood, whether I wish to uplift it or dwell in some grunge or country. As far as movies go, I enjoy watching plot twisting, nerve pinching, and thought-provoking movies like The Devils Advocate and modern movies like Avatar. Anything that makes a mark. Black Mirror is something I talk about often. Being on a few deployments overseas I've watched just about everything. I'm also the type of guy that will read anything just to pass the time. I like philosophical and adventurous reads, I always find myself rereading "As a man Thinketh" and Clive Clusser's books back-to-back. But I'm open for just about anything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent 7 months straight at sea. Climbed a few mountains. Survived a few bar fights(I didn't start them!)
My biggest adventure was going back and forth from sailing jobs to Ukraine. I went from an Amateur skateboarder to one of the best sharpshooters in the military.

Teach, Learn, Share

Where to start... I have a different view about this universe than most that I know. I consider myself very open to other's beliefs and lifestyle choices and I tend to share my ideas and thoughts when around good and humble company. As far as teaching goes I've spent alot of time teaching the youth and even military in Ukraine English for a non-profit NGO. I can teach survivalist training, teach you about tying sailor knots), and travel tips. Everyone should teach everyone something knew and this world would be a better place.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories from around the world. Ive never met a host I haven't had a good conversation with. Share good laughs and be good friends for a lifetime). Also, I love to cook for other people, so if you have sharp knives and access to good produce we will have a great dinner))
