I'm new to couchsurfing. I'm a hardworking, non-driving, 51-year-old composer who would like to travel more, primarily for music, but also to experience new places.

I'm pretty easy-going and have a great sense of humor.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I try to get my music played in as many places as possible. I do not make a lot of money as an adjunct, and travel is expensive. I would like to be able to stay near the venues where my music is played and meet good people along the way.

Interests

Music, film, reading (catching up on classics), good food and coffee, art of all sort, lengthy urban and rural treks on foot (not an athlete, but like to walk).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent ten weeks in winter of 2014 at the Banff Centre as a musician-in-residence composing my piano trio, which will be premiered in Darmstadt June 26, 2016. I funded a good part of this residency with a Kickstarter.
