About Me

I have previously lived in Australia, the United States and Norway. I have also travelled much around Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, South America and Asia.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am a very social person. The awesomeness of a destination is made by the people you meet and its society and culture. Couchsurfing would provide me with greater insights into the countries I visit and would personalise my experience. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy reading fictional literature largely focusing on the genres of covert/clandestine operations, military history and Science Fiction. When the three crossover I am a very happy man indeed! The authors whose work I have currently been reading include; Robert Ludlum, Robert Fabbri, Karen Traviss amd Daniel Silva. Some notable novels include: Ender's Game, The Bancroft Strategy, The Tristan Betrayal, Vespasian: Emperor of Rome series and Halo: Ghosts of Onyx & The Kilo-5 Trilogy.

Current most favourite television shows: Game of the Thrones, Sherlock, Blackadder, The Walking Dead, Community, Doctor Who, Torchwood, Black Books, Fawlty Towers, The IT Crowd, Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles, Battlestar Galactica, All Stargate incarnations, Firefly and Scrubs.

Movies: Forest Gump, The History Boys, The Matrix, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Batman: The Dark Knight, 300, Watchmen, In Bruges.

Music: I quite like orchestral, rock and grunge. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I parachuted off a cliff in New Zealand when I was 12 before I developed a slight rational fear of heights (only marginal I promise).
