About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Study martial arts in Japan and China with awesome people.
ABOUT ME
I'm a very social and active person. I love anything with physical movement, learning new patterns, and figuring out how other people move. Since I travel and do a lot of different activities I push myself to be outgoing, making new friends, get lost in new places, and try new foods.
When I'm not being sociable I usually read (books or blogs), and take time to myself. Travel and meeting new people is fun, but I need a balance of alone time as well. I'm also pretty tech savvy, run my own website (got ideas for a few more), and generally always have a project I'm working on.
Oh, and I'm very short (5'3"). Make of that what you will - though it helps me fit on couches and travel easily ;-)
PHILOSOPHY
Just keep on going and doing your best. You'll get there.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None yet, but I'm looking forward to more!
Interests
I'm very active. I spend lots of time practicing Japanese martial arts, swordsmanship and unarmed, as well as blues and fusion dancing, some yoga, and occasional running, working out, and taking long walks. Anything with movement!
When I'm not being super active I'm usually reading nonfiction, hanging out with friends, or watching sci-ci movies or TV shows (Firefly or Dr. Who are great!). I also enjoy cuddling cats and sipping espresso.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
1. I've had the privilege to train with some seriously awesome martial artists in Japan, the US, and Thailand. Seeing how master move, generate power, and fight has filled me with great humility - and a few bruises. Finding and meeting amazing people is always a pleasure.
2. Had an all night dance party for my birthday this year. That was very, very tiring and very, very fun.
3. I did Senbongiri, a special Japanese swordsmanship challenge, when I was 20. It was awesome, very intense, and you can watch some highlights here if you want:
