One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Idaho, USA: Was about to swim across the Salmon River until we saw a sign that said lots of people have died trying to cross this river and do not cross without a boat and lifejacket, found an abandon canoe, lowered it down an 80' cliff by rope, climbed down the cliff with hiking backpacks full of gear, paddled across the river with a shovel at midnight in the pitch black, made it across, hiked straight up the steep face on the other side of the bank to an old tram mining trail that traversed the mointain, found the trail and hiked it up to an abandon mine shaft(circa late 1800s) that was about 2 1/2' deep of 85 degree hot spring water, explored the mine shaft to about 200' deep, scared all the bats out, left the mine and kept hiking up until we found an old bath house that was so old it was caving in but there was still the old hollowed out log bath tub with 95 degree hot spring water flowing out of a pipe in the mountain into the tub, took a relaxing bath in our birthday suits reminiscing on the history and people that had bathed in this same tub over a hundred and fifty years ago, hiked back down the mountain to the river, set up our hammocks and small camp fire, slept a few hours, paddled back across in the morning, got the canoe back up the cliff, returned it where we found it, and drove off to find our next adventure!
