About Me
Hi! I'm a med student from the UK about to go into my third year, living in London and trying to understand myself and the world. I spent the first half of my life in London, then second half in York and I moved back to London to go to University. I'm ethnically Tamil, and I lived in Sri Lanka for a little while in my childhood.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As well as being a Tamil med student, I'm also broke. I've couchsurfed casually before, but never with people I've never met. I'm a little nervous, but excited too; meeting people is always fun, and hopefully I'll get to know some interesting folk while travelling at the same time.

I travel, eat, cook, read, write, run, cycle and generally arse around.

Movies - The Grand Budapest Hotel (at the moment at least)
Books - The Grapes of Wrath or One Hundred Years of Solitude
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I worked in a small clinic in Sri Lanka after the Boxing Day Tsunami. I was just a small idiot who ran around packing up medicines and cleaning the place up, but our group had an impact on hundreds of people over the weeks. It's the reason I went into medicine, and why I think we have a responsibility to help people beyond the borders of our own countries.
Teach, Learn, Share
I don't know what this means. What can I teach? I can teach very, VERY basic Spanish, Latin or Tamil, and a little about the human body too (being a medical student and all). I'm willing to learn basically anything, although my hand-to-eye coordination isn't too excellent. I'll share anything I happen to have to hand, especially if it's edible.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Food. Washing up services. A smile. Passionate discussions about human rights, politics and poetry.
