Overview
About Me
Hi couchsurfers! I'm Aaron, 26 year old male from Perth, Western Australia. Currently doing a short 3 week trip with another mate around Europe, will be in Amsterdam Tuesday 23rd July - Friday 26th would be awesome to meet some people around!
I hold couchsurfing close to my heart, after using it throughout my backpacking trip to Europe in 2014-2016. I have just graduated from my degree in Marketing and Tourism & Hospitality with the idea that i will find a travel related job that will allow me to continue exploring more countries!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I met some amazing people throughout Europe who all looked after me, and i want to return the favour and at least catchup with people travelling through Perth. Always want to listen to and talk about travel related stories!
I feel that without participating in and trying out cs, you are missing out on a big piece of the true travel experience! I was very sceptical when i first heard about cs and couldn't understand why it was something appealing, but after my first attempt with it i got hooked! To be able to keep contacts and friends from all over the world and one day hopefully be able to host them in your own home when they come and visit is such a cool idea!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Went on a school trip to Nepal in 2008 for 3 weeks. We had collected educational books / sporting equipment from australia and handed them out to several schools along our trek. This was my first insight to the extreme poverty in this area, and how much we take things for granted back home. Although the biggest eye opener for me was that although general life was tough in these areas, everyday the general vibe from the villagers/children was of happiness and laughter. They took nothing for granted, and treasured all the little things in their lives.
