About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My mission is to continue creating the best photographs I can and feel like I have done my part in capturing life with an authentic eye

ABOUT ME

I fall in love with every subject. Person, place, or thing. When light and subject come together in that perfect way, I feel it in my heart and soul. It makes me feel alive. Each new moment brings feelings of a movement towards an unachievable perfection that I forever seek. The journey is the reward. I wish that feeling for anyone in anything they do.
Photography was not a choice. To do what I love and what makes me happy is the only choice I had. Photography keeps me away from the grind of the 9 to 5 life that drains my soul as well as my time to explore life and all it has to teach me. I want to see, hear, taste and feel life to it's fullest. I have no faith that keeps me from tasting the joys of the world, or gazing along the open road. But, I do have spirit.

PHILOSOPHY

I quote: "I’m counting on the child in us to bail us out, the part that loves to meander and play, go down blind alleys, fancy the impossible, and wonder why. It is the impractical, flexible part we can’t afford to lose in the transition because it makes us free in ways that no other animal can be--fallible and supple and inventive. It’s the part that has gotten us this far. Maybe it will work for the next human, too."
-Chip Walter

“To find your calling is a gift. A purpose provides the drive to pursue
excellence along with an unwavering belief that your work is of value.
When you can take this resolve and turn it into a vocation you achieve
a rare and extraordinary feat.”
~ Susan Carr, “The Art and Business of Photography”
