About Me
ABOUT ME
I finished my studies in 2010 and started working immediately after. After a year, I started to feel bad about that I didn't take a break between studying and working and I felt that I should take a sabbatical year.
So after a lot of planning, me and my girlfriend shipped an old campervan over to the USA by boat and started to drive around the US and Canada for 6 months. We saw many beautiful things (nature, buildings,...), but also sad things (poverty, ). We drove across the continent twice. Once from east to west in the USA and once the other way on the Trans-Canada highway from west to east and tried to see as much from the countries as possible.
After we ended our journey in Halifax, we decided we wanted to spend the last months hiking the Camino de Santiago, an ancient pilgrims and trade route to Compostela in Spain. We spent more than 5 weeks walking over 1000 km. Now we're back to reality and start working again.
PHILOSOPHY
"But risks must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing. The person who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing, is nothing. He may avoid suffering and sorrow, but he cannot learn, feel, change, grow or live. Chained by his servitude he is a slave who has forfeited all freedom. Only a person who risks is free." William Arthur Ward

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 2011, I was lucky to visit the site of the Chernobyl disaster. It was a haunting place, but beautiful in a way too.
In 2012 we toured the United States and Canada in an old campervan. Great experience!
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a lot about exercise physiology and nutrition.
And ask me anything about bikes.
