About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Cultivate courage! Refine.
ABOUT ME
I am a guy in my twenties; a mix of IT professional (design, programming, mostly Web based stuff), musician (piano, ukulele, djembe, electronic production), energy worker (reiki) and general mad scientist type.
I'm an Aquarius with a big smile. I am always up for listening; there's a gift to be given every time we open up and take the time to receive what others are willing to say.
PHILOSOPHY
Communicate! Live and let live, sympathize and aim to know another person's experience. I feel I am here to expand my understanding of human capability; to be blown away again and again by what we are able to accomplish.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I absolutely love honest, heart-driven communication. That said, I still have a soft spot in my heart for a bit of sarcasm & witty banter :)
I've found that cooking is hugely satisfying for me. Can I help out in the kitchen? Pleeeeease?
Sharing or collaborating in the creation of art for even 20 minutes can help me get to know someone in a hugely intimate way. I absolutely love being led into another world by way of a passionate creator.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Have hosted friends, but never anyone off of Couchsurfing directly. I also haven't stayed with anyone off of the Couchsurfing community at large. I want to change this! I am excited about venturing forth and striking up new connections each place I go.
That said, I am not without experience living in group settings. I am very mindful of others' space and needs. I am glad to help out in exchange for a place to stay. This includes cooking, picking up, cleaning and even more significant forms of labor if the exchange feels balanced.
Interests
Energy work & healing arts (Reiki, massage, ecstatic dance), playing music, geeking out on video games or sci-fi concepts—who doesn't want a personal teleportation device? As a long time coder, systems design and software architecture are always fun to talk about. Absolutely love hiking and animals. Am VERY excited to try working day-to-day farm operations some time soon.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am a huge fan of musical artists that are both expansive and epic but also subtle and filled with space. This could be music that lives within of genre, but some of favorites are Sufjan Stevens, Nana Grizol, Devendra Banhart, Until the Ribbon Breaks, Boards of Canada, Jeff Buckley, Iron & Wine, and Andrew Jackson Jihad
My favorite movies fall squarely in the "quirky" category. From "Eagle vs. Shark" to "Bad Boy Bubby", I can easily lend my time to odd characters and hopeful narratives.
In terms of books, fiction isn't something I dip into often. One of my favorite reads has been Ishmael or perhaps The Diamond Cutter. I am a fan of non-fiction books most of the time, and can enjoy anything from a music theory text to a hardbound manual on Ayurvedic recipes.
