Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To find something different. Something positive. Something valuable.
ABOUT ME
Freshly graduated with a degree in Psychology, with a carpentry trade under my belt as well. I am very friendly, easy to get along with, and always looking for a positive experience in life.
I am currently on the move after finding some free time and bit of cash. I'm just looking for good experiences. I'd be willing to settle anywhere if a good opportunity came up.
Although super friendly, I tend to be a bit more down-tempo. I'm not big into wild parties, although I love a good beer and a conversation. I'm into talking about technology, science, philosophy and learning about what makes the world work for each individual that I come across.
PHILOSOPHY
Perspective is everything, so you might as well make it positive.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Currently I am a surfer. I hope to one day establish myself enough to be able to host. But until that day, I can only be very grateful for the kindness of others!
I also have several years of carpentry/plumbing/electrical experience, and usually bring some tools with me when I travel by car. So if I am staying more than a night, I am always willing to do a little work around the house and share my knowledge of fixing things!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have only had a handful experiences via the couchsurfing website so far. But every one of them has been a positive one! How else would I make new friends abroad?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once worked a carpentry job in northern Quebec where I repaired/reconstructed a heritage trading post that was once run by the Hudson Bay Company approximately 100 years ago. We were north of the tree line, I saw many bears, musk ox, and seals. After a 3 hour boat ride inland from the nearest community, we camped on the beach for just over a week while I worked on the buildings there. The weather turned bad very quickly though, and a gust of wind tore our tent out from under us while we were still inside. We then spent the last night inside one of the buildings of the trading post, which was half demolished on the inside from black and polar bears. There were claw marks on the walls, broken glass on the floor, and a porcupine living in the basement. The boat ride back to land was one of the bumpiest, scariest, and most exciting experiences I have had yet. I laughed hysterically the entire 3 hour ride back.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can easily share any building/carpentry skills and/or knowledge with whomever I meet. I am constantly providing building advice for friends, family and others I meet. I usually bring tools with me when I travel. I also really enjoy science and facts and tend to be full of useless information about most things.
