ABOUT ME

Film student/musician living in Chicago and enjoying every second of it. I like to travel, I like to pick up and go places I've never been. I was introduced to CS when making a documentary about drag queens in Milwaukee and had a wonderful experience there. I hope to broaden my horizons and meet new people through this site.

PHILOSOPHY

- It's better to regeret something you have done than something you haven't done. - Talk to strangers, so long as they're not giving you the stink eye.- Go places you've never been. - Be silly, it's the only way to survive.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to show people around Chicago because I'm proud of the city I live in now. Any sort of kooky activity you can think of I can totally provide you with an outlet to do so. I love to travel to places I've never been for no good reason other than to see what it's like. Couch Surfing is a great way to discover new parts of the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only surfed once through the website, but I've slept on many a couch on tours with bands that I've been in.

Interests

I love to bike, write, shoot films, laugh, tell jokes, eat, EAT, drink, and just generally enjoy life and do stuff. Doing stuff is far better than not doing stuff.

Music, Movies, and Books

If I were to start listing the music that I listen to you'd never get out of here. I enjoy art films, particularly 70's Japanese cinema. I'll admit that I haven't read as much as I should but thanks to a few lovely people in my life I'm building a reading list that I'm working on finishing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2008, I toured Europe with the Butthole Surfers. It was the greatest experience of my life, travelling to different countries and playing music to people who were there to hear us play. What a wonderful time!

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a little about a lot of different things and even if I don't know anything about what you're doing, I'm more than happy to help. I am in school for film right now so if you've ever wondered about how movies get made I know quite a bit about that. If you've got a project that needs a hand, I'm more than happy to help.
