Overview
About Me
Hey! I'm a 28 year old American living in Atlanta, Georgia (the heart of the south). I used to live in Florida (for school) and Los Angeles (for work) before moving back to Atlanta. I work in the film industry here working with cameras for the various tv shows and movies that shoot in both LA and Atlanta (if you want to talk movies, or ask "how did they do that", I'm your guy). I enjoy all sorts of sports (played American football and golf in high school), hiking, camping, and I've tried my hand at rock climbing (never got any better than 5.9 if you're familiar with climbing...). I play both the guitar and saxophone, so if you like to play, we could jam. I enjoy cooking, but to be honest, I spend most of my time cooking clean and healthy recipes (paleo), not really the entertaining/party kind of cooking.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because, where I'm at in life, I'd rather have a big life than a big house. Help me create some good stories that I can tell to my nonexistent grandkids!

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a fan of music (excluding most country, and most pop/mainstream). I work in movies/tv, so there's too many to list. I enjoy all things Hemingway, To Kill a Mockingbird, Treasure Island, and so on.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Not necessarily an amazing thing, but one time at university I accidentally caused a bomb scare that shut down half of the university (this was a school with 40k+ students...). Ask me about it, it's a good story.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm trying to travel more, domestic and foreign, to get out of my bubble and actually experience a richer life. I want to learn more about the world so that I can better understand who I am, and what it means to be American. I'm currently learning German (at a A1.2 currently) because it bothers me that America is essentially a one language country. Every person I have met outside of the US speaks at least two languages, and I want to be more of a global citizen.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can teach you how to use that camera of yours, how to fix that leaky faucet (and other housewares) , fix your computer, southern cooking (including how to make real sweet tea), some good cocktails and other American traditions. I'm pretty well rounded so I can talk to you about movies, music, arts, books, sports, history, politics, religion for as short or long as you'd like.
