About Me

I am an ordinary girl who believes in doing whatever one loves regardless of societal norms and is quite opinionated.
I'm from India, studied Economics from Canada. Wanted to drop out of college really bad but the Indian societal norm did not allow it and I didn't have the courage to go against it. I graduated in 2020 and have been trying to build a career in Fashion Designing since then. I'm also learning German so that I could study Fashion in Germany (they have public-funded tuition-free universities).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really like talking to new people and hearing their stories. Hearing experiences from different people from different cultures helps me learn more about their country or their culture. It is a way of traveling without actually traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books

Old Bollywood music because I really love the meaning of lyrics.
In Pop music, I listen to Ariana Grande because inside I'm a little girl who likes pink and dressing up. Ariana Grande is my dancing vibe.

Some songs I have an emotional connection with and also my favorite line from that song
'Fight Song' by Rachel Platten - "I've still got a lot of fight left in me"
'Scars to your Beautiful' by Alessia Cara - "And you don't have to change a thing, the world could change its heart"
'Counting Stars' by One Republic - "Said, no more counting dollars, we'll be counting stars"

For movies, anything in the genre of crime, suspense, philosophy. I don't watch a lot of movies though.

‘21 lessons to learn from the 21st Century' & 'Sapiens' by Yuval Noah Harari is something I would recommend to everyone.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't know. Maybe the attitude of taking risks. Being firm on my values. Everything I did outside my comfort zone like traveling alone or signing up from Couchsurfing :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some fashion tips (I’m a Stylist). I COOK A LOT. I can cook for you. Whatever dish from whatever cuisine :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

My Stories. And I would love to hear yours. I'm a good listener and would love to listen to your life experiences so far!
