My name is Aashna, and I am 20 years old. I study English, Journalism, and Screenwriting at a university in Los Angeles, and love being involved on campus.

I enjoy watching movies and television shows, and well am addicted to Netflix. My other hobbies include writing, reading, painting, and hobbling around the world as I meeting new people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on this website because as a college student, my pockets are always dry and my aspiration to travel the world are always on an all-time high.
That was some terrible rhyming; I swear my company isn't as cheesy.
Plus, meeting new people in their natural state, chilling at home, is always more pleasant than a walled hotel room.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy a variety of music, but my favorite genres are rock and r&b. But then there's smooth jazz, some concertos, classical music, and acoustic ballads that top everything.
As for movie genres, I love comedies and psychological thrillers! Or any type of thriller. Also, movies with powerful dramatic dialogue and hard-hitting scripts. And books? Well, this is something I don't categorize as I can go from raving on and on about the Goosebumps series to jumping into a crazed discussion about 1984.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Left for a foreign country on a two-minute notice, without any luggage...or a shower.
Coming from a pretty domesticated, conservative family, that was one impulsive leap.
