About Me

It was three years back that I started studying in Scotland and that is when I fell in love with travelling and meeting people from around the world. I probably take every opportunity to travel which is why I chose to do my exchange year in Canada. By the way, I love doggos.

Music is something else that I really love. I am mostly into Trance and Progressive House but I enjoy all kinds of music. You will see music in about 6-8 languages on my phone. I sing along even though I do not know the language. I really enjoy mixing music because it takes me to that state of trance. I am probably that guy at a concert who has his eyes closed and is enjoying the music (my friends find it weird).

Shoutout to the Anjuna Family

----- When sending me a request, make sure that you have references. You do not have to host/surf to get them. You can always go for meetups, socials, etc. This is one way that I know that you aren't using CS just for free accommodation. I am mentioning this because I found it very helpful when I started surfing 🏄‍♀️ 🏄 This is a busy time in Edinburgh and I receive a lot of unpersonalised requests. Unfortunately, I do have to decline them. -----

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm looking to travel the world and Couchsurfing will probably allow me to travel more on a student budget. More importantly, meeting locals and other travellers only makes the travels more meaningful.
I have met quite a few people while staying hostels and it was great to learn about them and their travels. One of the most memorable experience was when I met this girl in Mexico who had a love for techno music like me. It overjoys me when I meet people with a taste in music similar to mine.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music- Trance, Above & Beyond, Aly & Fila, Anjunadeep, Anjunabeats, Armin Van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk.
Movies - Lord Of The Rings, Batman, Rocky, Hobbit...... Quite the movie buff
Books - The monk who sold his ferrari, Unlimited Power, Who will cry when you die. I used to love the Narnia series as a kid.

I really love listening to podcasts from different topics like music, self-help, travel and some that challenge my way of thinking.
Above&Beyond's Group Therapy, Future Sound of Egypt, The Tim Ferriss Show, The Anjunadeep Edition, The Tony Robbins Podcast...........

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Had a Kilimanjaro beer while wearing a Kilimanjaro tshirt while seeing the sunset at Kilimanjaro. If you haven't been there or are thinking of going, DO IT. It is not only a wonderful sight but Tanzanians are one of the most friendliest people I have met.

Getting a lion and a 190 year old tortoise to pose for my selfie. The lion was in a national park. I, in no way, harmed them.

My own Assassin's Creed Pilgrimage in Italy. I started where I start with Ezio and ended where his story ended.

Teach, Learn, Share

I usually do some language exchanges and I have found this to be helpful and a great opportunity to know each other. I would be delighted to share my knowledge of the languages I know. I am currently on my way to become fluent in Spanish so if you could teach me Spanish then that would be wonderful.

If you are interested to learn about places to visit in Canada, UK or India then I can really help you out with that. In return, you could tell me some unknown places to visit around the world. This helped me find these underground tunnels near Mt. Kilimanjaro that people don't usually visit.

I am currently learning some Cha-Cha and Salsa so if this is something that you want to learn then put on your dance shoes.

If watching movies is something you enjoy then I can probably recommend you movies that I have watched and that you might like. I do this a lot with my friends.

I have had an excellent time on CS because of all the people that I have met. It has definitely added a lot to my travel experience. I wish to keep this going even though I'm not travelling at the moment. I am always down for taking couchsurfers around town and showing off my beautiful city haha.

What I Can Share with Hosts

From studying in three different continents and with people from around the world, I have learnt to make some excellent dishes. I usually make them for myself. They include some Italian and Arabic dishes.
I'll make sure to get you something lovely from my travels. In the past, I have gifted some books that I love, coffee from Tanzania, and even some lovely collector's stamps.

Important:
If you are hosting me and there is a zombie uprising, I can save you for sure. I have played a bit of Left4Dead.
If I am hosting you, you better know how to find me medpacks.
