About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To make the best of life and learn as much as I can....

ABOUT ME

My name is Andrew Bandy and I'm from Lafayette, Indiana. I have lived in or around this city my whole life and have a connection to it because of friends and experiences, although I'd love to move somewhere with different lifestyles and scenery. I will be moving to Chicago, IL in August, 2009 to start medical school at UIC. My first exposure to other cultures was through a high school German exchange which really impacted the way I lived and thought from that point in my life on. I am known to be quite the stickler when it comes to recycling and reducing energy and things of the like, but I try(key word try) not to be overbearing about it. I love to try new things as long as they are not TOO out of reason, and I consider myself to be very open-minded. I LOVE to cook any and everything, and be outside with dirt covering my whole body from gardening in the summer.

PHILOSOPHY

Learn and do as many things as you can in your life, never waiting til later to start things, but rather now.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm willing to host anyone, although nobody really comes to Lafayette for vacation or traveling.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't really had any experiences with couchsurfing other than with close friends where I've simply spent the night. I hope to increase my experiences, however!!!

Interests

I love to cook. I'm always in the kitchen trying new things and they usually turn out to be quite good. I love to be in nature, although with such a busy schedule and very few trails in the area, it can be hard to schedule time to just be outside. I love to watch movies, hang out with friends, go for walks, and really try anything; I'm quite the homebody.
