About Me
CURRENT
Looking for someone who does not mind being interviewed in front of a camera while eating some Japanese food: someone who can talk about something like one’s life story, the history of one’s own country, cultures, nation’s traits, life philosophy if you have any, silly jokes, etc.
ABOUT ME———Received a Fulbright scholarship offer, bought a new Toyota Matrix in Oct. 2009, and was buying a condo in Little Italy, San Diego, and then thought that living in California for the rest of my life might be a good idea, but one night in Nov., my phone rang , telling me that my husband in Japan was found unconscious, and under brain surgery. I left everything behind and embarked for Japan. Meanwhile, my 4-year-old son said, " Everything is going to be all right, Mom. Don't worry”. ( sound like Bob Marley, huh?) Yes, everything has been all right so far. My son was right!!! Since then, I have tried to be helpful to the next generations. It means that I became completely old.
*My husband, Hiro is a professor at Tokyo’s University of Agriculture. I teach English at home and Japanese on line. Our son, Tokuji is a junior high school student and living in a school dormitory in Sapporo. **2018/12/12
PHILOSOPHY ——don’t worry, be happy

Music, Movies, and Books
Used to dance almost all the time with Bob Marley and Highlife music in Walewale, Ghana for 2 years.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Traveled West African countries alone a long time ago. Invited a man who gave me a direction to a hotel in Gorom-Gorom, Burkina Faso because I felt a bit lonely and needed a company, but we had no language in common, so both were quiet over beer for 2 hours.
He was....well, in his mid 70’s or 80’s, I guess.
I still feel so sorry that I gave him such a hard time.
Teach, Learn, Share
My son is willing to show you Japanese traditional dancing in Kimono as he has learnt it since he was 4 years old, and also takes Karate lesson twice a week, so I can take you there if you are interested. His master is a silver medalist in 2011 world cup. Wow!!!
# 2018, Tokuji is 13 years old now, goes to school and lives in the school dormitory in Sapporo to pursue his dreams. So no entertainment for you at the moment.
What I Can Share with Hosts

No Lunch
*I can take you to a popular Izakaya in Abashiri, a typical Japanese style restaurant if you want to try. In this case, costs about 5,000 yen each. Of course I pay my own bill.
* Do not tell me if you are a vegetarian on the day you arrive.
We are not VEGETARIANs, so do not even try to make me cook any vegetarian food for you. But I do not mind taking you to the nearest supermarket, though.
