I do many things. I'm studying languages, working for a non-profit organization that runs Wikipedia (the well-known online website) and leading an NGO in my home country. Most of my work, both voluntary and paid, is devoted to bringing knowledge openly and at no cost to as many people as possible.

My native language is Arabic. It's not doing so well for itself in an age of increasing globalization.

I aspire to write Arabic literature, both fiction and non-fiction, to do my part in that. I have been struggling to write a novel for years, with nothing to show up for it. Part of my motivation to travel is to be inspired.

As a child taken with nature and National Geographic films, I have had a long checklist of places to visit. I have already went through a good part. The rest is, I hope, to come!

As of now, I'm studying in the University of Cologne (Germany) as an Erasmus exchange student.

I have been around for a bit. I have visited four continents and fifteen countries and experienced many things. For the most part, though, I go as a tourist. I would like to experience it more with people, to discover the culture and not just the place. That's why I would like to couchsurf: plus, a few extra bucks won't hurt!
