About Me

I’m pretty new to Couchsurfing, but am excited to meet some really cool people. I'm goofy, delightfully sarcastic, and open-minded. I like to make new friends, love trying new hobbies, seeing new places, and expanding my list of “have done”s. I don’t like to sit still for too long, and love seeking out new experiences (the weirder, the better). I also love to talk, and am always down for a hike.

As far as my "philosophy" goes, no one puts it better than Mr. Wilde: “life is too short to be taken seriously”

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I already love meeting new people and trying new things, so the fact that there's an app for it just makes it all the more convenient.

Interests

I’m really passionate about volunteer work, especially for the medically underserved. I love to do outdoorsy things like hiking, camping, and rock climbing (although I’m not a super skilled climber by any means), but also have a huge love for sports like gymnastics and tricking. I'm also taking down a never-ending book bucket list, especially when it comes to books on history and psychology, but also love a good fiction novel I can curl up with. Languages also fascinate me – if you can teach me something new, I’d love to learn!

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a pretty wide strike zone when it comes to music; it mainly depends on my mood. Some of my favorite books are Man’s Search For Meaning by Viktor Frankl, Predictably Irration by Dan Ariely, and When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi. As far as movies go, Forrest Gump and The Zookeeper’s Wife are fabulous.

Teach, Learn, Share

I dabbled in improv comedy for a while, so I can offer a dry-as-a-bone sense of humor and companionship at great local comedy shows. I also love learning languages, and would be more than happy to teach mine and learn yours.
