About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Walking the thin line between well-informed, gracious traveler and enthusiastic tourist
ABOUT ME
Cleveland rocks but I'm pretty satisfied with having lived there til I was 18. After college, I lived for a year in Yekaterinburg, Russia. Following that cold year, I moved to Austin, Texas where I am currently working on my Master's Degree in Slavic (mostly Russian and Czech) literature.
I am spending the summer of 2012 studying Jewish History and Czech in Prague, the jewel of central Europe!
My interests include but are not limited to: food and drinks, art, history, language, literature, drama, classical music and food.
PHILOSOPHY
It ain't no sin to be glad you're alive--Bruce Springsteen
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've been a member since 2009, but haven't done much couch-surfing at all. Over the course of this summer, I hope to get more couches under my belt!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Traveling around Russia and Europe, I met a lot of CSers and realized what a sucker I was for staying in hostels!
Interests
The way names transform from one language to another. John=Juan=Jean=Gianni=Ivan=Sean=Jan=Johann. Crazy, no?

Music, Movies, and Books
I LOVE movies, music and books!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I showed up late to the Marinsky Theater, so I was forced to sit on the stage behind the actors during the coolest ever production of "The Magic Flute."
