About Me

My name is Abrar and I'm currently a resident living in America's Finest City, San Diego. I love traveling and enjoy doing so with friends and on my own :) I'm unfortunately renting a room and am unable to host travelers now but would love to share my favorite spots or even dinner if you're looking for a friend in the area. Wishing you all the best on your travel journeys :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to explore various cultures through the lenses of local natives or individuals more experienced with that way of life than myself :)
I've always been a very open person and as a result, I've made so many different and unique friends along the way. I quickly realized though, no matter your background, we're all just trying to navigate our lives the best way we know how and having awesome companions along the way make it worth while. I hope to make friends from all walks of life. I love hearing about people's personal journeys, dreams, struggles, and accomplishments. I believe these stories are what connect us as human beings and show us just how many variations there are to understanding the world around us.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I held my breathe under water for 1 minute and 7 seconds when I was 13 years old at a swimming competition. I won a fruit basket as a result😁👍🏽

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a lot about many random things- my friends refer to me as their walking encyclopedia. I love learning about anything and everything, no matter how big or small. I love the power of books and always wonder how many other feet have walked in my footsteps when I visit new places and what brought them there.
Anything you'd like to share, I'll always be all ears. I also love food- can't cook to save my life but I'm a great eater :D
