I'm 25 and about to finish up a year of Americorps here in Seattle. I work on a program that aids schools in changing their breakfast models so more kids get free breakfast! Yum! I'm originally from the north bay area in California. Got my BS in Biochem at UC Santa Cruz and studied abroad in Cape Town for 6 months. Some things I tend to enjoy are rock climbing, hiking, cooking, drag shows, bugs, podcasts and breakfast.

A year of nation service really takes a told on the bank account! So couch surfing is a great option in that respect. Also I like the idea of staying with folks who are from he area, much like air bnb, it's fun to meet new folks and get a perspective on a place that is first hand and local.

Backpacked the Lost Coast! 24 miles of the uninhabited California coast line. It was an amazing 3 day trip with amazing views, so many starts, whale bones, massive drift wood, sea lions and almost no other folks for miles.
