About Me

I've lived abroad much of my adult life. I adapt quickly, am open-minded and love to venture out a bit.

I would LOVE to explore new places, get to know new cultures and languages, share a meal, chat, and/or go dancing- love West Coast Swing, salsa, bachata, zouk, forró, samba.

I’ll be stopping over in Turkey for a layover then traveling in Nepal and India for the next few months! I’d love to connect!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the community of travelers and have met so many amazing people on the road. Couchsurfing helps you travel a little longer, stretch funds a little wider, and expand your international community immensely!

Unofficially (since I just joined the CS site in 2016) I hosted over a dozen folks while living in Vietnam. In Brazil I hosted a handful as well. It's always nice to pay it forward when you're in the position to do so, and it's great to see where you live from fresh eyes as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy finding new music on Spotify and some Latin flair or chill acoustic jams.. really depends on my mood. I enjoy reading realistic fiction and non-fiction (spirituality/psychology). Last good book I read was The Art of Hearing Heartbeats which took place in Myanmar. On retreat I read books by the Buddhist American nun, Pema Chodron. Movies.. all time favorite is Steel Magnolias.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This fall I spent 30 days by myself in a cabin in the woods of Central Oregon for a meditation retreat- one of the most difficult and most rewarding experiences of my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach, learn and share all of the following... some language, a card game, dance, food/recipes, philosophy, psychology, spirituality, a new place to hike or wander, life stories, insights, and a bit of my heart.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Some company, conversation in a few languages, an experimental recipe, different world views, a new card game, a dance, and hopefully fun along with some laughs.
