Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The idea of creating a global network of fellow travelers is exciting to me, also my friends have used couch surfing before and I thought I would like to give it a go. We have mostly used work away on our past travels so we are excited to try Couchsurfing!
Human interaction and connection is the most beautiful part of traveling and I love the idea of using couch surfing to find like minded travelers

Interests

Hiking, outdoor and open spaces, photography, language, new cultures, travel, reading, journaling, delicious foods, any wildlife experience and general adventuring

Music, Movies, and Books

I love reading but some of my favorites are Wild by Cheryl Strayed and Tracks by Robyn Davidson
Wuthering Heights and most other classics, as well as poetry, Frost is my favorite

Love all types of music though, open to listen to anything
Movies: we love watching documentaries especially wildlife ones!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watched a beautiful green sea turtle lay her eggs on a beach in Sri Lanka

Week long safari through South Africa, watched a herd of Cape buffalo chase two male lions!

Ate fermented shark in Iceland ( wont be doing that again!)

Observed a leopard in Yala national park

Climbed four mountains above 14,000 feet in one day

Backpacked into Havasupai, Grand Canyon

Married the love of my life and took off around the world with him:)

Hiked Angels Landing in Zion National Park

A sense of global community, travel stories, conversation, interest in language, one day we can host back! Colorado is beautiful and we would love to take surfers on hikes in the gorgeous Rocky Mountains!
