About Me

I like to live my life to enjoy it as much as I can. I never understood the people who stressed themselves out so much just to get where they are "supposed" to be in life. I think that is an unhealthy way to live your life because that pattern is only bound to continue. There is already enough suffering in the world, so I think we should do what we can to make our lives and those around us happy.

I returned from living in Spain for 8 months in June 2018, so it's been a bit difficult transitioning back to my "old" life. In Spain, I taught English a bit and traveled a lot. I'm looking forward to traveling around the world more and even just in my own country.

Some of my hobbies include:
Playing guitar and singing
Drawing
Writing songs, comedy, poetry
Photography & videography (you can find me on IG @kweenabitha or on Youtube at Abby Schnitzer)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Despite being fairly introverted, I enjoy meeting new people. Whether I met them on or off Couchsurfing, the people I met while traveling have enhanced my travel experience and my life as a whole by an immeasurable amount.

Music, Movies, and Books

For the past few years, my favorite genre of music has been instrumental progressive rock.

I find it very difficult to choose a favorite movie, especially since I prefer TV shows. Some of my favorites include Desperate Housewives, Stranger Things, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, The Good Place, and my all-time favorite Parks & Recreation.

I also prefer audiobooks over traditional books because I don't have the patience to sit and read. I can't even sit and listen to a book; I need to have it going while walking to work or cleaning! I've really enjoyed books written by comedians as well as science fiction.
