ABOUT ME
I was born and raised in the Midwest. I've never broken a bone. I've lost my wallet in an airport, on a public bus, and in a random college bathroom, and gotten it back every single time. (That's why I believe in the kindness of strangers.) I have a younger brother who promptly totaled his car when he turned 16. In the process he also took down a utility pole and cut power to the local mall for two hours. My proudest accomplishment is that I once kept a goldfish alive for six years. In college I lived in a co-op, an intentional community of 30-odd folks, where I took care of maintenance issues and ordered new benches and ashtrays for the porch... I moved to New Orleans last year and live with a roommate + a cat in a sun-filled second-floor apartment.
Now my life hangs on some freelance travel and wedding video/photography gigs and taking road trips by sleeping in my car. I wait tables at night in the Quarter. I love meeting new people and sharing experiences. Last fall I passed the written Chinese driver's license exam and had a lot of fun driving in Mario Kart-like conditions in Chinese cities!!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Always happy to host when I have a stable living situation (ie right now), would be much appreciative of a couch to crash on when I'm traveling. i try to be a sponge as much as possible and to soak in everything about a place, no matter how short or long I'm there.

Teach, Learn, Share
I have a hard time picking up new languages, but my favorite thing to do is to sit up and talk for a long time about everything and try new food and listen to good music. There is nothing too spicy/oily/slimy/weird for me!
