My name is Abby and I'm a 23 year old who loves to travel!
I was lucky enough to live in Norway on exchange for a few months and loved every minute of it. Since then I have constantly wanted to travel more.
Every time I visit a new place I'm most fascinated by all the new people I meet from all over the world and hope to keep exploring different places and cultures!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To visit new places but with locals who can show me things I wouldn't have known about otherwise! Travelling is significantly more memorable and meaningful when you get to meet and get to know the people who actually come from the place you're visiting - and that's what I'm hoping to do! I also just love to meet like-minded people and to learn about others' perspectives of the world.

Interests

I love seeing new places and trying new things (if there's something I haven't tried before it's likely I'll want to give it a shot!). Seeing anything uniquely native to a country - whether it is wildlife, plantlife, etc. is always amazing to experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite band is 100% The National!

Movies and books are much harder to choose, but I love comedies, dramas, and I'll always be a huge Harry Potter fan (movie and books alike!).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In Iceland, I went to the Westman Islands and climbed up to the top of a volcanic cone that erupted in 1973. The rocks were still warm up there (they also were amazing colours of orange, red, and white!) So cool!

I work with kids and I try to live my life spreading kindness and practicing patience! I hope to meet other like-minded people and share valuable life experiences with each other.
