About Me
ABOUT ME
My friends would describe me as an amiable, nonjudgemental, adventurous, good listener (who is also quite chatty once I get going). I love meeting new people, am always down for a new experience, new travels, new friends, and a good time.
PHILOSOPHY
My life’s mantras are “Keep your head up and your heart open.”, “Never look down on a person, unless you are helping them up.”, and “Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you criticize them, you are a mile away from them and you have their shoes.” Favorite colors – blue and pink. Favorite joke: “Who is this Rorschach guy and why does he keep painting pictures about my parent’s fights?” I like long walks on the beach and I have a border collie that might be a nuclear engineer one day (however she's only two, so...). So that's a little about me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have no experience with this, but have heard good things from friends. I'm excited about trying it out and meeting new people!
Interests
I love doing anything sporty in my free time. I run most days to stay fit, but for fun I go kayaking, do mud runs, go mountain biking, head to the beach, surf (though it's FL surfing, so the waves are tiny), go backpacking, rock climbing, travel, watch movies, play tennis, or read.

Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite books? Hmm... On the best seller list: Freakonomics as well as any of the Malcom Gladwell books are among my favorites. Classics... well the hopeless romantic in me is drawn to Jane Eyer by Charloette Bronte. Autobiographies: Wild by Cheryl Strayed. Favorite music? Unabashed Coldplay, U2, John Hiatt, Amos Lee, and 70s through today's rock, pop (I'm not too good for popular music), rap, reggae, bachata, well... I can appreciate most any genre.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Wha? There are so many amazing things in this world that this is a near-impossible question to answer. However, I'll give it a shot... Hmm... the first time I saw the my niece and nephews, standing precariously on vastness of the rose colored city cliffs of Petra, and watching a policeman pursue and accost an ostrich in the rural plains of Arkansas were all pretty awe-inspiring.
