About Me

I am interested in taking portraits (with 120mm film, and maybe digital ) of people I meet. I really love to photograph people, friends and families in their homes, rooms, workspaces, or outdoors in a personally important place. A book I have really loved since I first laid eyes on it is 'Tokyo; a certain style' by Photographer Kyoichi Tsuzuki.
I am also interested in photographers Daido Moriyama, Kikuji Kawada, Sakiko Nomura, Tokihiro Sato, Motoyuki Daifu and very interested in learning about the new vanguard and underground photographers.
for work have been touring as a merch witch, tour manager, photographer with rock n' roll and punk bands and a few artists for the last 5 years. I also have worked as a personal assistant for two well known authors. Now I'm taking a break. Going at a slower pace, really want to meet friendly people, see and learn about places I visit.
I love to draw, paint and take photographs wherever I go. I am always interested in art, music, research, writing and living projects of whom ever I meet are working on. Gardens and farms as well.
I like people of all ages.
I make zines, a new publication about once a year.
I like to talk, hang out, fairly easy going, people say I'm friendly.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It is so nice to meet people and learn about their lives. I am always interested in how people live, what they do with their time, and if they make or put lots of time into something, I would love to see or hear it. I find meeting people in new places really interesting, and I discover way more about where I am, staying with friendly people. I'm also on a budget and rather spend money on eating local food, taking trains and going to museums, than on hotels.
I would prefer to stay with Women, Families, Shared housing, Artists, Punks, and or Co-op housing. Open to staying with men, only if they are very respectful, or queer.
