About Me
I'm an adventurous free spirit going along with the flow of life, keeping plans to a minimum, and appreciating every moment. I'm an outdoor enthusiast and find my happy place on the top of mountains in the middle of nowhere with some good people. Some incredible challenges in life have taught me that vulnerability is beautiful and with every challenge presents an opportunity. I'm out to see as much of our world as I can and to connect with cool people along the way. I have many passions in life such as hiking, music, traveling, positive psychology, and working with youth teaching leadership/personal development. I live a very healthy and active lifestyle and I believe our world is absolutely amazing :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
After living in another country outside of the US for 2 years, I've learned how important it is to understand the local perspective. As a tourist there is so much you don't see, and I really like to understand the people and the places that I'm visiting.

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't watch many movies, but I love a good book such as the Harry Potter series, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Into the Wild, The Tipping Point, The Help.
Music- anything and everything. From local rap/hip-hop, to American Folk, to pop, to acoustic to alternative. I always enjoy going to concerts and have been to many around the world. My favorite are rainy day/chill/acoustic playlists :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Macedonia for 2 and a half years. My primary role is teaching English to grades 1 through 9, but I also find great interest in creating secondary projects such as working with the youth, English conversation classes, and joining local hiking groups.
What I Can Share with Hosts
