About Me
Update:
Already in London for two years. Haven’t been active in hosting because I have flatmates but still up for meet-ups.
I'm a Filipino with a Spanish last name that cannot fluently speak Spanish, who moved to Paramaribo, Suriname in 2015 to work as a Cardiology Nurse.
A lot of people have asked me "Why Suriname" (because generally no one knows where it is. No offense. I didn't know where it was either!)
I usually answer "Why not?". It's a different country, with different kinds of people, culture and history. And it's close to many awesome countries as well. Besides, every county is special.
So yeah, why not?
Now, I'm back in the Philippines after 3 years and 4 months in South America. Three years in Suriname, it's in the same continent but with a totally different culture.. and they speak Dutch. Then a total of 6 months backpacking and hitchhiking through the Guianas, Brazil, Venezuela, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, and Colombia.
I think describing a character of a person is a subjective opinion so I would like you to read my references if you want an idea of what kind of person I am and simply because I'm bad at describing myself. I can only tell you objective things about me.
Just some weird words I put together which I'd like to think makes me seem smarter to people reading this. Nothing impressive though.
Ultimate frisbee player. Mountaineering enthusiast. Beginner Capoeirista. Beach goer. Expert procrastinator. Sometimes-reckless adventurer. Sporadically-unorganized traveler. Thought writer. Not a writer. A receptive Introverted extrovert (okay, this is subjective). A 20-something looking 33 year old. Everyday-coffee drinker. Occasional tattoo canvas.
