Overview
About Me
Hi, my name is Abdallah Charki, I’m 25 years old, and I’m an actor.
Since I discovered this profession, it has given me so much more than just roles to play. It has allowed me to explore parts of myself I didn’t know existed and to experience profoundly human moments. Acting is about feeling, understanding, and conveying universal emotions. But beyond the set, this search for authenticity has made me look further, to seek what truly gives meaning to my life.
That’s why I decided to travel. Not to check destinations off a map, but to immerse myself in cultures, meet people with unique stories to tell, and, above all, confront myself with what’s different. I believe the richness of life lies in human connections, in those moments where you share a glance, a smile, or a conversation that leaves a mark.
Traveling, for me, is a form of learning. It’s about understanding how small we are in the grand scheme of things, yet how every interaction can expand our hearts and minds. I want to be surprised, to step out of my comfort zone, to see life through the eyes of others, and to bring my own energy with humility and sincerity.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I find the idea of being hosted by locals during my travels incredibly beautiful. It creates an authentic connection, far beyond what mass tourism interactions can offer. It’s a genuine exchange, where we move past superficial boundaries and touch the very essence of what it means to live in another place, being welcomed into the daily reality of the people there.
For me, this type of sharing is a much deeper way to experience travel. It’s not just an external look at a place or a culture, but a total immersion, a moment of fusion between the outside and the inside, between the places we discover and the souls who inhabit them. It allows me to root myself in a living reality, to feel the energy and human richness that shape each place, each community.
What particularly touches me is the sense of trust and generosity that exists between travelers and hosts. There’s something deeply human in this act of welcoming, a form of sharing that goes beyond the material aspect to focus on the exchange of experiences, stories, and moments of life. This kind of travel allows me to be more than just a spectator; it gives me the chance to be an actor, to bring my own story while enriching myself with the stories of others.
That’s why I’m on Couchsurfing. Not only does it allow me to travel at a lower cost, but it’s also a unique opportunity to meet wonderful people, exchange thoughts on art, life, culture, and form bonds that are much deeper than simple passing relationships. It’s this way of going beyond the surface and exploring what unites us, despite our differences, that motivates me to use this platform. Because real travel, in my eyes, isn’t only about the places visited, but about the human connections that make it unforgettable.
Interests
I am passionate about art in all its forms, whether it’s cinema, music, dance, or literature. Each of these disciplines inspires me to live and perceive the world in a deeper way. My profession as an actor, for instance, pushes me to explore human psychology in depth and to try to understand my emotions. It encourages me to constantly reinvent myself.
I also love sports, particularly boxing, which has been a great school of life for me. It taught me discipline, perseverance, and the importance of never giving up. It’s not only physical training but also mental training, and I would be happy to share this knowledge and passion by giving boxing lessons. For me, it’s a way to pass on a part of what I’ve learned.
At the same time, philosophy and spirituality deeply intrigue me. These areas help me try to take a step back and find inner balance. It’s a constant journey of learning and reflection.
These various passions intersect and nourish my daily life. But beyond my personal interests, what I love most is exchanging with others, discovering new ideas, and learning from everyone.

Music, Movies, and Books
Book: Soufi, mon amour – A book that blends mysticism and passion. It inspires me to see life through a different lens, one that is more open and spiritual.
The first time I read it, I couldn’t put it down.
It was with this book that I understood the magical powers that reading can bring.
Movie: Interstellar – A sci-fi masterpiece that explores the infinite, but also humanity, love, and sacrifice.
I can watch it every month, and each time, I see it in a new way.
This is what makes a classic for me.
Music: The Snake by Lana Lubany – A song that resonates deeply with me, a fusion of captivating melodies and emotional poetry.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most impactful adventures of my life was participating in Pékin Express, where I had the chance to travel around Sri Lanka. It was much more than just a physical adventure; it was an experience that deeply shifted my view of the world.
Traveling in such a culturally and geographically rich environment allowed me to discover the beauty of human connections, understand the importance of helping one another, and experience moments of pure simplicity with amazing people. The uncertainty of the journey and the challenges we overcame together were a real lesson in life.
However, this journey also revealed a paradox: the fact that it was broadcast on television. Although the experience was intense, I believe that the true sincerity of travel lies in the moments shared between people, away from the voyeurism. There is something precious in these authentic exchanges that happen when you’re unaware of being watched, and it makes the connections even deeper and more genuine.
Teach, Learn, Share
I deeply believe that learning comes from a constant process of self-reflection, an honest look at oneself. It’s essential to shed the masks we sometimes wear to protect ourselves or to meet others’ expectations, in order to simply be ourselves. It’s not always easy, but it’s important, and I work every day to get closer to that simplicity.
For me, nothing is more precious than meeting people who, through the way they live, their kindness, or their differences, gently push us to step out of our comfort zone. They help us grow, see the world differently, and rediscover what truly matters.
Traveling is also an invitation to discover places, but more importantly, ways of thinking, cultures that challenge our worldview. It’s in this diversity, in these simple and sincere exchanges, that I learn the most. People, their stories, their humanity are, for me, the greatest lessons we can receive.
In the end, what matters most to me is staying sincere, as simple and authentic as possible. It’s in these moments of truth, without trying to impress or appear a certain way, that I believe we can truly be ourselves.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am deeply passionate about art in all its forms. To me, art is not just a means of expression; it is a way to connect with oneself and others in a more intimate and sincere manner. Whether through cinema, painting, music, or even dance, art has this unique ability to transcend words and touch us at the core of our being. It serves as a mirror of our emotions, our stories, and our cultures, with each work possessing its own magic and strength.
I have always believed that art is a universal language, a way to understand the world and others through a different lens. It’s like an inner journey, where each creation invites us to explore new dimensions and push the boundaries of our perceptions. Through my own creations, I aim to convey sincere emotions, to give voice to what is often silent or inexpressible, and to make each moment a unique experience.
What I would love to share with my hosts is this passion for art and my constant quest for new perspectives. I would love to discuss how art influences our lives, how it can change our worldview, and how it helps us better understand our emotions. I also enjoy exchanging thoughts on different artistic forms, discovering new inspirations, and talking about the impact art has had on cultures and societies over time. To me, art is a space for exchange, an invitation to discover oneself and others, and I would love to share this passion authentically and openly with my hosts.
