My name is Abdel, I'm 23 years old. I was born in Tangier. My city lies in the northern coast of Morocco at the western entrance to the Strait of Gibraltar where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic Ocean which makes it only 14km away from Spain.

I've studied mathematical physics at the university of Tangier for two years and I decided to start following my dreams by going to Barcelona and studying Computer Science. Why Barcelona exactly? Because it's more than a dream city for me. Tangier is influenced by the spanish culture so I grew up watching spanish football and I felt in love with FC Barcelona, moreover I was also obssesed with computers and technologies since a very young age. So just imagine yourself studying what you love and living in your dream city!! I can't ask for more than that.

I still can't believe myself that I'm walking on Barcelona's streets, watching games at the camp nou, meeting new people from different part of the world.. That's really helped me to develope myself and to become a more open-minded person... so all I can say is that I'm very blessed.

I have a big ability to learn new things in a really short time and especially languages..
Learning lanuages is a really passion of mine, I'm a native Arabic and Moroccan speaker. As a student, I studied in French at the university, I learned English since I was a kid just by watching movies and series. I've learned Spanish and Catalan because I've been living in Spain/Catalunya for more than two years now.

I had the chance to live in Mannheim/Germany for 3 months, because I got an erasmus internship in a Telecommunication and Software Development company. I spent an amazing time there and it really motivated me to start learning German.

I'm also a big fan of Music and I'm a huge Lana Del Rey fan... Thank god my dream came true and I've got the chance to see her live in her concert in Barcelona. For sure It was one of the best nights of my life.

As I've said before, I'm a cinephile and I've watched more than 2000 movies.. My favorites are "The shawshank Redemption - Pulp Fiction - Inception"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Cause traveling is fun but It's better when you get to be surrounded by either locals or somebody who's been living in that place already for some time and from whom yo can hear good stories and get good recommendations. Plus I thing we all get to leave a little bit of ourselves in every place we step in, and it only makes sense to bring something good when there's somebody who receives it
